Opus further expands in UK market
Further to the recent announcement by Opus International Consultants Ltd on their expansion in the UK market through the acquisition of Evans Grants Group, the company announced today a further acquisition. As of Friday 26 November, Veryards Ltd became part of Opus International Consultants Ltd.
Veryards, which was founded in 1959, is based in Cardiff, Wales. It also has offices in Manchester and Wrexham, employing a staff of 75. The company has an established reputation for innovative, cost effective design work in both the public and private sectors and has been involved in contracts for clients in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. It is currently involved with many significant projects in the UK including, the new Airbus facility at Broughton, two 10-year rail bridge management projects for Network Rail, and the infrastructure work for stage one of a multi-million film studio in South Wales.
In announcing the additional UK acquisition, Opus Chief Executive, Kevin Thompson said today, that in line with the company’s strategy to accelerate its international and in particular UK growth, the incorporation of Veryards particular expertise and success along with Opus’ wide ranging multi-disciplinary skills will benefit both organisations and their clients.
The new company will trade as Veryards Opus in the UK.
