TV3 Did Not Pursue Judy Bailey
TV3 says that speculation in this morning’s Dominion Post that it approached Judy Bailey to work for them is entirely wrong.
“This is fantasy on someone’s part, and is completely untrue,” said TV3 Director of News and Current Affairs, Mark Jennings.
“Judy is a fine broadcaster, but is so entrenched with the state-owned TVNZ brand, it just wouldn’t be the right move for us,” said Mr Jennings.
“I am shocked, as I’m sure all taxpayers are, that having lost one extravagant salary the state broadcaster has replaced it with another,” he said.
