Samsung and BLACKCAPS launch new tech partnership

Samsung and BLACKCAPS launch new technology partnership

Samsung and New Zealand Cricket today announced a long term technology partnership which will see Samsung providing cutting edge technology to the BLACKCAP’S high performance programmes and becoming New Zealand Cricket’s exclusive technology partner.

The agreement involves Samsung providing high quality video recording and analysis equipment to the technology suite at New Zealand Cricket’s High Performance Centre at Lincoln University for use by the BLACKCAPS as well as provincial and age group development teams.

Samsung* spokesperson Mark Livingstone says the new relationship will greatly benefit both parties.

“Healthy living, technological advancement and a dedication to producing world class products are values that set Samsung apart. The BLACKCAPS have a natural synergy with these qualities, making our partnership a natural fit.

“We are looking forward to nurturing New Zealand’s cricketing stars of the future, as well as our current stars, by providing cutting edge Samsung products for the technology suite.”

CEO of New Zealand Cricket Martin Snedden agrees:

“Samsung’s technology partnership with the BLACKCAPS will benefit our high performance programmes. Players will be able to examine their batting and bowling actions in fine detail. The technology that Samsung is going to provide at the High Performance Centre, should help to further develop the BLACKCAP’S competitive edge.”

Samsung Consumer Electronics and IT products are sold in over 200 stores across New Zealand. Plasma TVs, camcorders, DvDs, home theatres, MP3 players, LCD TV's, TFT LCD monitors and digital still cameras are some of Samsung’s products available in New Zealand.
