New Zealand’s fastest growing network, Prime Television, continues to prosper with more positive ratings results. Prime’s average monthly channel share has grown significantly in peak-time 5.30-10.30pm. For January 2005, Prime increased 25% year-on-year and in February 2005, Prime achieved a 15% increase year-on-year.
Motoring programme Top Gear is a top performer for Prime with male television viewers aged 18-39 years. Recent figures released show Top Gear (7.30-8.30pm Sundays) achieved a massive 31% channel share on Sunday 27th February, a 20% channel share on Sunday 6th March and 19.5% on Sunday 13th March.
Prime News: First at 5.30continues to flourish with superb ratings. For the week commencing 27th February, Prime News had its highest average weekly channel share for All People 25-54 of 10% peaking at 15.7% on Wednesday. Household Shoppers were also big viewers with a Channel Share of 18% for the same period and peaking at a 27% share on Thursday.
