New Harveys Hutt Office A Window Into The Future

21 April 2005

MEDIA RELEASE

New Harveys Hutt Valley Office Offers A Window Into The Future

There will be a double celebration for Harveys at the official opening of its Lower Hutt office next week - not only will it showcase new high profile premises, but it will also unveil state-of-the-art technology to be adopted by Harveys Hutt Valley.

Lower Hutt and its sister branch Harveys Petone will be the first Harveys real estate offices in the country to have brand new Interactive Property Information Centres.

The electronic centres project properties for sale in the offices’ window, and with an interactive keypad similar to an ATM, allow users to view and print photos and property details, hear voiceover descriptions about properties and print lists of open homes and rental properties - 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

These differ from most electronic property centres, which generally only offer access to their internet sites.

Harveys are confident clients will embrace the easy-to-use, open access system and that the new Lower Hutt office and the recently refurbished Petone branch are the perfect place to showcase the technology.

Located next to Westfield Queensgate Shopping Centre on the corner of Queens Drive and Waterloo Rd, the new Harveys Lower Hutt premises are much larger than the previous office a few metres down the road.

The official opening on 28 April will mark the completion of a comprehensive expansion strategy for Harveys Hutt Valley, which as well as the new surroundings and technology at both branches, has increased its sales team and support staff.

Harveys Hutt Valley General Manager, Leanne Senior, says the changes were implemented so the branches could gain more comprehensive coverage, which now service an area from Eastbourne to Upper Hutt.

“We have invested a lot of time and effort into making the branches as user friendly as possible,” Leanne says. “The Information Centres create a very relaxed atmosphere were people can come to our offices and browse at their leisure or feel free to talk to our salespeople over a cup of coffee.”

Feedback about the new-look offices has already been very positive from clients, and Leanne says the team is looking forward to having the whole package come together next week.

“We believe this is a great innovation that will greatly benefit our clients,” she says.
