Stylish Living is Simple with Simply You Living

16 May 2005

Helping readers breath style into their homes and their lives

There is a new style bible on the horizon and it is designed to help you achieve style in every facet of your life. From home decorating, interior design, home entertaining and travel Simply You Living is your ‘How To’ guide to living the life you want.

Launching on 31 October 2005, Simply You Living is the new offering from the guru of style, Paula Ryan, and is a natural progression from the highly successful fashion magazine, Simply You. As with its sister title, Simply You Living is designed to make being stylish simple and accessible. It is about mixing contemporary ideas with traditional values, about keeping up with new trends and making them work with your existing pieces. Rather than intimidating readers with unattainable new trends, Simply You Living will encourage readers to enjoy the things they love; style rather than cutting edge. It is about finding interesting ways to entertain; about exploring new territories and putting new life into familiar ones.

“I am aiming to take the complexity out of interior decorating and the hard work out of culinary adventures. As with everything I do, it is about keeping life simple. Simple, but elegant”, says Paula Ryan, founder and editorial director.

Since starting New Zealand’s first real fashion magazine, Fashion Quarterly, 25 years ago, Paula Ryan has achieved unparalleled success in the notoriously competitive publishing industry and has become an icon in New Zealand popular culture. With a rapidly increasing circulation Simply You is the number one fashion magazine in the country. It is these readers who have demanded a lifestyle bible to match their fashion one.

Simply You Living is set to have an initial distribution of 50,000 and will be published bi-annually, setting it apart from any other lifestyle magazine in New Zealand.

“I believe women view living, like fashion, in terms of two seasons – Summer and Winter – so we’ll condense the information out there into just two homestyle guides per year,” says Paula.

Full of tips and tricks-of-the trade, Simply You Living is a home-style guide that aims to empower readers with the confidence to enjoy their homes, families and the laidback lifestyle that is synonymous with life in New Zealand.

The Simply You Living woman is passionate about life; her home, her family. With so much going on she wants to know what works, what to look for and, crucially, where to find it. Simply You Living will answer all these questions and will direct her to the best New Zealand industries from the length and breadth of the country.

It’s a no-nonsense guide to living a life of style…. Simple really. It’s Simply You Living.
