Mike Pero Brokers Contenders For NZMBA Awards

9 AUGUST 2005

Mike Pero Brokers Strong Contenders For NZMBA Broker Of The Year Awards 2005

Mike Pero Mortgages brokers are again strongly represented in this year’s Sovereign/ NZMBA broker of the year awards.

“Eight of our 50 brokers have been announced as nominees, and we are hoping that one of them can repeat last year’s success for Mike Pero Mortgages,” says Chief Executive Jeff Staniland.

The awards are the equivalent to the Oscars for mortgage brokers in New Zealand and recognise outstanding achievement within the mortgage broking sector.

The title of Mortgage Broker of the Year is highly regarded in an industry of high achievers.

The awards recognise all-round excellence in the way brokers deal with clients, lenders and in the application of best practice in the industry. Last year’s winner of the coveted NZMBA Broker of the Year title was James McAllister.

A Mike Pero Mortgages broker from Hamilton, James had to beat 130 candidates that were eventually thinned down to 23 to take the national title.

This year, 46 candidates have been selected from a pool of 160. Richard Waalkens, a Mike Pero Mortgages broker from Whangarei, has been nominated in both the overall Broker of the Year award as well as the Rookie of the Year award.

The NZMBA will now select two finalists from each region who will be interviewed later in the month.
