Nationals’tax cuts equitable, low compliance
The tax cuts proposed by National are for all New Zealanders and businesses, and are welcome for that reason, the Employers &Manufacturers Association (Northern) says.
“Under National’s proposals, all income earners will be better off and no one worse off,” said Alasdair Thompson, EMA’s chief executive.
“The cuts are not being targeted to selected groups and would therefore be more equitable. Neither do they require an army of bureaucrats to administer.
“The cuts recognise the reality of the strength of the New Zealand economy while offering incentives to maintain that growth momentum.”
