AA SmartMap Launch Overwhelms Online Site
The official launch of the AA's new groundbreaking online travel and mapping service AA SmartMap has attracted so much interest, the site has been overwhelmed.
AA Brand General Manager, Mark Williams, said the Association is delighted with the level of interest in the service; however demand has created a problem.
"AA SmartMap has been designed to handle hundreds of inquiries concurrently and we are looking at ways to ensure we can meet the demand.
"AA SmartMap is a free online service for all New Zealanders offering the most extensive data and mapping information available in the country. It provides information and personally tailored maps and directions.
"It covers everything from accommodation to restaurants, land marks, ATM locations and even public toilets.
"We are confident AA SmartMap will become a real winner, changing the way Kiwi's plan trips and holidays. I can only ask users to be tolerant during the launch period, he said."
