TV ONE Changes Early Evening Schedule
TVNZ is revamping its early evening TV ONE schedule and will not be screening the entertainment magazine programme Headliners in 2006.
TVNZ Assistant Chief Executive and Head of Content Stephen Smith said the move was aimed at strengthening the lead-in to ONE News.
"We want to get more people watching TV ONE at 5.30, before our prime time news programme. Despite the efforts of staff, who have worked extremely hard and covered some great stories, Headliners did not reach our audience rating expectations. That is why we will be scheduling a new programme that has wider appeal, which we will announce in the new year," said Mr Smith.
