Christmas mailing deadlines fast approaching
New Zealand Post is reminding all customers sending parcels and cards by airmail to Australia and the South Pacific that these items should be in the post by Monday 12 December, to ensure that they arrive at their destination before Christmas.
Cut-off dates for air and economy mail to the rest of the world have already passed, but customers may send items worldwide via express mail up until Wednesday 14 December.
Group Manager Enterprises Stephen Henry said "Christmas is an extremely busy time for every part of the New Zealand Post Group, particularly our PostShops and mail centres."
"We therefore advise all customers to keep a close eye on mailing deadlines and to send their Christmas presents and greetings as early as possible," he said.
The 2006 Christmas mailing dates and deadlines are summarised in the table below.
Destination Economy Air Express Australia & South Pacific Friday, 18 November Monday, 12 December Monday, 19 December Rest of World Friday, 11 November Monday, 5 December Wednesday, 14 December
