Joint Statement Of TVNZ And Melanie Jones
TVNZ and Melanie Jones are pleased to announce settlement of their employment dispute.
Bill Ralston, TVNZ's Head of News and Current Affairs, says "I deeply regret any distress caused to Melanie Jones in relation to her termination as executive producer ONE News and her resulting departure from TVNZ.
To set the record straight about Melanie's abilities I must stress I regard her as a highly professional journalist, editor and producer and I genuinely admire Melanie's demanding standards and news judgement. She is highly dedicated to her craft and I am sure she will make a very positive contribution to any news organisation she may join in the future."
