Returning Every Ferrari To Its Original Condition

Ferrari Classiche: Returning Every Ferrari To Its Original Condition – And Proving It!

Click for big version

Almost every car that Ferrari has built since its first model, the 125S, was produced in 1947 has survived the ravages of time and the legendary car maker wants to ensure that this unique record is maintained with the launch of Ferrari Classiche, a new division of the company dedicated to restoration, preservation and proof of authenticity.

The Certification of Authenticity is available to all Ferrari road cars over 20 years of age and for all Ferrari Formula One, sports and sports prototypes irrespective of their year of manufacture. Following a rigorous inspection and examination of the chassis, engine, gearbox/transmission, the suspension, brakes, wheels, bodywork and interior by a team of experts, the owner is provided with a document that attests to the authenticity of their Ferrari. This provides proof of providence, a valuation in case of sale and enables the owner to participate in official Ferrari events and functions.

Ferrari has, from its very beginnings, been a symbol of mechanical excellence and exemplary technical performance. Classic Ferrari’s require the highest level of special attention to maintain their performance – and their value. For this reason Ferrari Classiche provides a full restoration service.

This work takes place within the Ferrari factory, using the original technical drawings and, where possible, tooling, foundry and machine tools that were used to make the original car. Ferrari also produces new parts, either within the company itself or working with the original suppliers. Only parts homologated by Ferrari Classiche, which have undergone a rigorous quality control, guaranteeing the original specification, are used.
