Full Refunds For Flight Centre’s Origin Pacific Customers
A leading travel retailer is offering full refunds to any of its customers affected by Origin Pacific suspending its services.
Flight Centre customers will be able to get full refunds on any Origin Pacific flight not travelled on, as the retailer retained a system whereby its clients’ payments were not passed on to the airline until travel was completed.
Flight Centre general manager Rick Hamilton said the retailer had supported the airline as it offered real competition on domestic routes, and he was disappointed at the airlines’ inability to continue with passenger services.
“It now seems likely that regional domestic airfares will be increasing in the near future, as there is simply no competition to keep them down.”
Mr Hamilton said the ability for Flight Centre’s customer to successfully claim full refunds was a great example of the value of travel agents.
“Our customers will have the peace of mind of getting full refunds in a timely manner. I know I’d be happy with that.”
