Wgtn Business Welcomes New Regional Strategy
Positively Wellington Business Warmly Welcomes New Regional Strategy
“Positively Wellington Business, as the Greater Wellington region’s current economic development agency, is delighted with the strong support shown by the region’s councils for the new Wellington Regional Strategy” said Positively Wellington Business CEO Philip Lewin today.
Mr Lewin was speaking in response to today’s announcement that nearly all the region’s local governments had voted decisively to back the Strategy blueprint for the future.
“Positively Wellington Business was set up five years ago to do this very work of boosting regional business vitality and strengthening our future as a national and global economic centre. We have done this work with generally good support from the region’s stakeholders, but without the agreed and explicit mandate that the Wellington Regional Strategy will now bestow.”
“Positively Wellington Business has been closely involved in every step taken along the way on the Regional Strategy project so far. We are helping build a stronger platform for the Wellington regional economy going forward.”
