Kiwi Growth Partners expands into Australia and USA

New offices in Australia and North America and an alliance with the Melbourne-based IniPax capital market will increase Kiwi Growth Partners (KGP) ability to help New Zealand companies to find the finance they need to expand.

KGP founder Alvin Donovan says KGP has become an associate of the Inipax capital market (www.Inipax.com), which provides “fair, orderly and transparent capital market services for businesses working towards a formal stock market listing.”

"This will allow companies to raise up to $5M in Australia without the need for a costly prospectus," he says. "It also means we now have a database of 75,000 professional potential investors in Australia and three million potential investors internationally."

Kiwi Growth Partners has also struck up a strategic alliance with Barry Cooper, founder of Cooper Advisory in Australia. He specializes in assisting emerging growth companies and is one of the key movers behind Inipax, which focuses on bringing investors to fast growing companies whose next step is to list on the stock exchange.

"Barry brings a wealth of experience in Australia helping companies become investment ready and he knows what investors want to see. He is an expert in this space and brings a lot to the table," says Donovan.

A former senior manager in the Entrepreneurial Services division of Ernst & Young, Cooper was responsible for the design and implementation of corporate strategies for high growth businesses.

Before that he spent 15 years with Business Victoria, part of the Department of State Development, where he managed a range of economic development programmes designed to support emerging, research-based companies. He also has extensive experience as a stock exchange founder and director.

IniPax has focused especially on bright young companies with the kind of intellectual property that will reward those who choose to invest in the future, Cooper explains.

"In Australia these companies have come out of universities, research institutions - and individuals with a dream and a passion," he says.

"After several years helping Australian companies find their feet Inipax has been impressed by the quality of New Zealand's emerging business, particularly those being brought to its attention by Kiwi Growth Partners."

IniPax and KGP are currently in the process of preparing one of these bright new kiwi companies for listing.
