KTM New Zealand Limited launch 07 motorcycle range at annual dealer conference

European motorcycle manufacturer KTM has launched its 2007 model range in Queenstown, at the recent annual conference, where all supporting dealerships from around New Zealand were wined and dined, as they gathered at the St. Moritz Hotel to witness KTM's new generation of motorcycles.

Managed under a new conglomerate KTM New Zealand Limited, a joint venture between Australian KTM Importer, Automotive Holdings and KTM Headquarters in Austria, the company revealed its 2007 model range of sport minicycles, enduro, street sport, rally adventure and motocross bikes; with emphasis on the long awaited 2007 model KTM 250 EXC-F enduro and 450 SX-F motocross machines.

Sharing his passion for KTM Motorcycles and bike riding, V8 Supercar Driver, Greg Murphy attended the conference as a special guest speaker, alongside former Motocross Champion and KTM Australia's General Manager Jeff Leisk, who inspired KTM New Zealand dealerships with his knowledge of KTM's growth across the Tasman.

Joining Jeff Leisk in his presentation was KTM New Zealand Limited, General Manager, Paul Ottaway who spoke of the companies vision for sales, motorcycle enhancement plus research and development.

"The launch of KTM New Zealand Limited and the new 2007 models, unites our determination to a reputable motorcycle brand that is already highly sought after in the market, said Ottaway.

"KTM's growth around the world will see the European headquarters in Mattighofen - Austria, invest up to 55 million euro in research and development, as the company continues to strive for excellence in delivering the best motorcycles available.

"Working in close association with our national dealerships, KTM New Zealand Limited provides motorcycle enthusiasts with a worthy competitor to the current Japanese models.

"With a ready to race philosophy, KTM provide top shelf componentry on all stock standard models, making anyone who rides them feel confident in their machine for peak performance.

"At the recent Australian Four Day Enduro Competition, World Champion Juha Salminen from Finland, won the event on a stock standard 2007 model KTM 250 EXC-F, securing the fastest times out of all classes. This was on a motorcycle any member of the public could purchase through a dealership.
