PEPANZ executive
officer appointed
John Pfahlert is the new executive officer at the Petroleum Exploration and Production Association (PEPANZ), taking over from Dr Mike Patrick.
Prior to taking up the position John was chief executive at the NZ Building Industry Federation, a position he held since 2003. He was also the chairman of both the NZ Construction Industry Council and the NZ Building Standards Sector Board.
PEPANZ chairman, Alan Cunningham, said John has a wealth of both lobbying and senior management experience which will ensure that the interests of oil explorers and producers will continue to be well represented in Wellington.
John has held a number of executive director roles in similar advocacy and membership associations; the NZ Contractors Federation, NZ Fishing Industry Association and the NZ Mining and Exploration Association.
