New Marketing Direction for Fresh FM Manager

New Marketing Direction for Fresh FM Manager

The force behind three years of development and growth for top of the south community access broadcaster Fresh FM is moving on.

John Bullock who has been Fresh FM Station Manager for three years is moving to marketing and creative communications agency HotHouse. His new role will be as head of the Production and HR sections.

"I am looking forward to working with businesses and organisations which need contemporary marketing and communication solutions. Creative content and how it is presented will be a key driver for differentiating those in manufacturing, retailing and service sectors" said Mr. Bullock.

"The HotHouse team, their capabilities, fantastic track record and constant drive for improvement, fits neatly with the potential that exists for New Zealand business and organisations."

"Fresh FM is a great station, the volunteers, staff and trust members are some of the best broadcasters it has been my honour to work with. We have all worked over the past three years to achieve all the strategic goals that were identified when I first started, some of which were: to develop top of the South coverage; establish a national radio drama competition, become an active participant in the digital region concept and to build strategic relationships with other key infrastructural services such as NMIT.

"Now I believe there is recognition by Government of two broadcast specific needs across the regions of New Zealand, the first of which is for access broadcasters and second for community broadcasters.

"How that manifests itself following the recent frequency announcement will be both the opportunity and challenge for Fresh FM, but the station is now well set up to manoeuvre in either or both directions," said Mr. Bullock.

Mr. Bullock takes up his new roll in mid January 2007, the Fresh FM Manager's role will be advertised shortly nationally and online with applications closing Monday 20 November 2006. Details at www.freshfm.net
