2006 Director Elections

PPCS has received the following director nominations for shareholders’ representatives to its Board:

*Rupert Curd, Ashburton (North Waitaki ward)
*Joe Ferraby, Marlborough (North Waitaki ward)
Ian Grogan, Feilding (North Waitaki ward)
Herstall Ulrich, Pleasant Point (North Waitaki ward)
*Lindsay Alderton, Gore (South Waitaki ward)
*Eoin Garden, Roxburgh (South Waitaki ward)
David Shaw, Balclutha (South Waitaki ward).

(*Denotes Director retiring by rotation, who has offered himself for re-election.) Voting will close at 5.00pm on 12 December 2006. The results of the Director elections will be announced at the company’s annual meeting on Friday 15 December 2006.

PPCS is a 100 percent farmer-owned co-operative. Its Board currently comprises nine supplier directors elected from two wards - north and south of the Waitaki River - and two Board-appointed independent directors.

Only current suppliers are eligible to vote, being for the purposes of the 2006 elections suppliers who have supplied stock to PPCS since 1 October 2005 under PPCS’ rebate system.
