OceanaGold Appoints General Counsel and Company Secretary

OceanaGold today announced that Jane Nosworthy has been appointed its General Counsel and Company Secretary.
Jane was previously Leviathan Resources’ Commercial Legal Manager and Assistant Company Secretary since Leviathan was de-merged from MPI Mines in November 2004. Jane joined MPI Mines in the same role in July 2004.
Before joining MPI, Jane was a Senior Associate in the Melbourne office of law firm Allens Arthur Robinson. During her six years with AAR, Jane obtained broad transactional and advisory experience as a corporate commercial lawyer, particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Adelaide. She is also an active member of the Executive Committee of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (Victorian Division).
OceanaGold’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Orr said “We are pleased to have Jane join OceanaGold’s executive management team. Her resource industry background and experience with mergers and acquisitions will be particularly beneficial in assisting the Company with the execution of its growth strategy.”
