Cogent partners with CallPlus

Media Release

Cogent partners with CallPlus to offer end-to-end telecommunications solutions to NZ businesses

Auckland: Friday, 13 April, 2007 – Leading telecommunications specialist Cogent, a subsidiary of the Onesource Office Technology Group, has signed a dealer agreement to sell network services, with CallPlus, New Zealand’s biggest 100% kiwi-owned full service telecommunications company.

As a CallPlus dealer Cogent will be able to extend customers existing PABX infrastructures with end-to-end telecommunications packages from CallPlus. The technology amalgamation will increase the return on investment customers have made in fixed infrastructure and reduce their overall telecommunication expenses.

Cogent acting General Manager, Ross Jenkins, says: “This agreement covers the full spectrum of landline services from standard telephone line through to complex tailored data solutions.

“We believe there is a significant market appetite for seamless telephone solutions that bring together network, hardware and managed services in a bundled offering using best of breed suppliers. CallPlus and Cogent intend to launch offerings that make it easy for SMEs to access the best technology available in the market.”

The CallPlus partnership is the third major deal Cogent has made in the last 12 months, following the announcement of its reseller agreement with Vodafone and the purchase of GDC’s voice division.

“Cogent is now able to provide a one-stop shop for telecommunications solutions,” says Jenkins. “We have deliberately set out to grow our technology offerings, so we can offer a more comprehensive and dynamic range of products and services to our customers.”
