New Caledonia: Twice the Holiday at Half the Price

PRESS RELEASE

New Caledonia’s Hot ‘Twice the Holiday at Half the Price’ Offer

Auckland, 28 June 2007: – The island paradise of New Caledonia is offering a hot deal for New Zealanders to soak up some sun and French charm.

Two people can fly, stay and play for the price of one at a select group of Noumea and Ile des Pins resorts, for a limited time.

“We expect the ‘twice the holiday at half the price’ deal to fly out the door as New Zealanders grab the opportunity to soak up some sun and French charm and hospitality,” says Simon Duffy, New Caledonia Tourism New Zealand Manager. “It’s perfect timing to escape our winter and the weather in New Caledonia at the moment is fantastic, better still it’s only a 2 ½ hour flight away.

“Not only does New Caledonia offer the warmth and relaxation of a tropical island but there’s also plenty to see and do – soak up the local Melanesian culture at the Tjibaou Cultural Centre, take a boat ride to the Amadee Lighthouse or peruse the local markets for fresh produce and French cheese.”

The ‘twice the holiday at half the price’ deal includes four night packages at the Nouvata Park Hotel, Ramada Plaza Hotel, La Promenade Hotel, Le Meridien Noumea and Le Meridien Ile des Pins. Prices start at $1,399 for two people – including airfares, twin share accommodation and transfers. Longer stays are available.

“Bookings must be made by Monday July 23 so people need to get their skates on to take advantage of this great offer,” Duffy says. Travel must be booked for either August or October 2007.

Do something new this winter in New Caledonia where you can do so much more than just lie around on a beach.
