Hawkesby not returning to TVNZ
Kate Hawkesby, the presenter of TONIGHT, has today advised TVNZ that she is leaving the company after 12 years.
Kate says she has decided against returning from parental leave, as at this point in her life she wishes to give priority to her young family and new baby.
Kate has loved being part of the TONIGHT team, and has been a valuable member of the TV ONE stable since starting out as a reporter more than a decade ago.
TVNZ fully understands and supports Kate's decision, and hopes to be able to use her talent again at some time in the future.
No further comment will be made.
