Exciting times ahead for Rolleston Square
Rolleston's new shopping centre, Rolleston Square is now open for business.
With three shops now trading and several more opening soon, Rolleston Square has a major point of difference from other shopping centres – a community square, which is intended to function as an outdoor community centre with performances, displays and seating areas.
Rolleston Square property manager Nicola Bourke, from H. G. Livingstone Ltd, said the new centre was a welcome addition to an already thriving community. “Incorporating the latest in environmental design and a community square, this is a centre that provides for a full range of community needs," she said.
"The community square is the centre of attraction, providing a space for events as well as fundraising opportunities for local clubs and schools. With a wide range of exciting tenants and plenty of car parking, the centre provides convenience and destination shopping within a modern and inviting design."
With more new tenants on the horizon, vacant spaces are filling fast. New to Rolleston, Corianders Ethnic Indian Restaurant, Aaroma Café, and Rolleston Drycleaners and Laundromat are all open now. PGG Wrightson Real Estate, KB's Bakery, and Monkey Spices, a Chinese Italian Pizzeria will be the next ones to come.
With Selwyn being the fastest growing district in Canterbury, and expected to grow to over 35,000 people by 2009, Miss Bourke said Rolleston Square was a much needed expansion of Rolleston’s retail area. For more information contact the managing agents, H G Livingstone Ltd.
