LeSpa forges ahead with new role

Queenstown’s first international-standard five-star spa is forging ahead with a key new appointment.

Ria Frederick, formerly a management consultant for the British Home Office and a recent arrival in Queenstown from the UK, has been appointed LeSpa Operations Manager.

Working alongside LeSpa Director Vikki Aquino, she is focusing on delivery of five-star service for all new and existing customers.

“It’s a very different role for me and an exciting challenge,” she says. “I’m naturally quite a perfectionist, I like to see things done well.”

Working with the LeSpa team of ten dedicated and experienced health and beauty professionals, she says she is enjoying the personal nature of customer service.

“I love talking to people when they arrive, helping to put them at ease in these stunning surroundings, then seeing them leave walking on air two hours later with a huge smile on their face.”

Ms Frederick says that she’s also excited to add to LeSpa’s repertoire of traditional and international treatments by introducing its new Express Menu for essential beauty care.

“We understand many people are time poor but still appreciate a job well done, so we’ve launched a full range of Express treatments which take from as little as 15 minutes - perfect for a quick lunchtime ‘fix’ or an after work session.

“Express treatments include nail treatments (everything from a quick nail shape, buff and polish to a full Beauty of the Feet or Hands session), waxing or tints.

“Locals or visitors keen for friends or family to enjoy the experience can purchase gift vouchers for any treatments. The vouchers are also great Christmas present ideas!”

LeSpa is housed in the multi-award-winning Sofitel Queenstown building in the heart of the popular tourist resort. It is a new spa concept created specifically for Sofitel Hotels & Resorts, drawing on expertise that’s been 25 years in the making by the Accor Group.

It is open from 10am to 10pm daily, seven days a week.
