Williamson joins URS as New Managing Director

David Williamson joins URS as New Managing Director for Asia Pacific

David Williamson has joined the URS Division as the Company’s new Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific Regional Business Unit. In his new role at URS, David has overall responsibility for the Asia Pacific operations, including strategy development, budgeting, profit and loss, project quality, safety, client relations, employee relations and business development. He is based in the Sydney office and reports directly to URS Division President Gary Jandegian.

David has more than 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry with an extensive background in design, construction and operations and maintenance of transportation, defence, telecommunications, oil and gas, and power projects. He also brings a wealth of management and maintenance industry experience from demanding environments in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Middle East. David holds a civil engineering degree from the University of Auckland

Most recently, David served as an Executive General Manager in both Downer EDI Mining and Downer EDI Rail. Previously, he held a number of senior positions over an 18-year period with Transfield which included time at ADI in Sydney and PT Trans Bakrie in Indonesia.
