Navigate Oceania Announces The Millar Road Family: Millar Road-Hawke's Bay and Esther's Place-Napier

Hawke's Bay, New Zealand (February 2008).

There's nothing quite like the seriously stylish experiences of contemporary New Zealand design in a classic vineyard or urban seaside setting offered by Navigate Oceania's newest collection member 'The Millar Road Family'. New to the market, 'The Family' is composed of two distinctively luxurious properties, 'Millar Road' in Hawke's Bay, and 'Esther's Place' in Napier, both created to appeal to those interested in design and contemporary art and food and wine lovers.

Millar Road offers two stylish cottages in the heart of Hawke's Bay, East Coast, tucked away in the Tuki Tuki Hills overlooking their own vineyard and coastline. It is the perfect base to enjoy Hawke's Bay food and wine country excursions. With cool and chic as keywords, Millar Road uses restrained colours, natural wood finishes, against neutral white backgrounds, furnishings, bed linen and artworks by local artists.

Millar Road was designed by Nick Bevin of award-winning New Zealand architects Bevin+Slessor. The style described as "reminiscent of the New Zealand Bach (holiday home) of the 1950's and 1960's" offers relaxed interior layouts, clear uncomplicated and familiar architecture.

Esther's Place is nestled in New Zealand's Art Deco City, Napier, offering elegant waterfront accommodation with unrestricted views of the estuary, inland Hawke's Bay, and towards the Pacific Ocean. Luxuriously urban yet cleverly positioned with privacy in mind, Esther's Place offers two new apartments ideal for romantic escapes.

Esther's Place has been styled by Eon Design Centre, New Zealand's leading design shop, and lushly furnished by Esther Diamond, Hawke's Bay trendy home designer who specialises in showcasing artwork from the country's best practicing artists.

The Collinges (Ginny, Jeremy and son Greg), owners of The Millar Road Family, emphasize the value of style and design in adding extra levels of pleasure to their guests. "While design-led, we have tried to create functional places to stay where the enjoyment of staying with us is enhanced because everything just works."

The tariff at Millar Road Cottages and Esther's Place Apartments starts from NZ$400 per couple, per night including GST. View The Millar Road Family at www.millarroadfamily.co.nz.
