Harcourts extends reach to Waihi Beach
Harcourts extends reach to Waihi Beach
1 July 2008: Long-standing Harcourts business owner Kevin Devitt has purchased Whangamata Real Estate Ltd's Waihi Beach business and is now in the process of setting up a Harcourts office in the Western Bay of Plenty town.
Mr Devitt, whose company Marketing 2000 Ltd also owns Harcourts offices in Katikati and Waihi township, says opening an office in Waihi Beach is a logical step he has been keen to take for some time.
"We've got established offices in neighbouring towns and for a number of years now I've been interested in expanding our reach. Having an office in popular Waihi Beach makes sense as it's a key location in this area and means we can better service people buying and selling there and at the other beaches nearby."
Mr Devitt says rebranding of the office has been completed and the former Whangamata Real Estate team are currently involved in a Sales Programme being run by the Harcourts Academy. It includes training on the innovative, industry-leading systems, services and products Harcourts has to offer.
Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson says the new Waihi Beach office, located at 19 Wilson Road, is an excellent addition to Harcourts extensive international network and will benefit customers in the area.
"This expansion helps cement Harcourts position in the Bay of Plenty and enables customers in or interested in the area with access to a dedicated, locally-based team of property professionals providing all of the Harcourts advantages," he says.
"I'm confident of its success, particularly with one of our longest-standing business owners in the drivers' seat, supported by branch manager Wendy Sellers, who managed the successful Waihi Beach office for the former owners."
The Harcourts Waihi Beach team has also been joined by experienced Harcourts Sales Consultant and Auctioneer Mark Moynihan who was previously based in Harcourts Auckland offices. The Waihi Beach office is focused on residential, rural and lifestyle property sales, as well as offering a property management service.
