Life’s Good When You’re Firing On 8 Cylinders.

LG Electronics announces sponsorship partnership for the 2008 / 2009 NZV8 Championship.

Heading into its second year in the New Zealand market, LG Electronics is now on board as a team partner with fledgling NZV8 Championship team Ballistic Motorsport for the NZV8 2008 / 2009 season.

Team Ballistic Motorsport has three years of touring car racing behind them and with 2006 Top NZ Rookie driver Simon Richards behind the wheel will be looking for a big result in the 08 / 09 season.

LG Electronics joins other sponsors to provide essential support to the Ballistic team in developing its Ford Falcon BA, ensuring it’s a frontrunner in the competition.

Kane Silcock, Marketing Manager LG Electronics New Zealand believes this is a great partnership between a company that’s fast gaining a reputation as a market leader and a race team that’s one of the fastest in New Zealand’s premier motorsport championship.

“The NZV8 Championship is fast growing as a spectator sport, with a huge following throughout the country and the New Zealand drivers continue to prove themselves on the highest stage, both here and in the Australian championships. This partnership, with the talented, upcoming Ballistics team will further broaden LG’s exposure within a broader market, ensuring our growing presence is felt throughout the country,” he says.Â

The NZ V8 championship is raced across seven rounds throughout the country. The championship gets rolling this Friday, October 3 2008, with the first round at Taupo Motorsport Park.

The new Ballistics Motorsport Ford Falcon BA will be unveiled in Taupo on October 3, with fresh LG Electronics signage proudly displayed on each side of the front nose clip, mirrors and across the rear wing.Â
