3 Bald Men Design Wins Gold For Best Sports Bar

3 Bald Men-Designed ‘Four Kings’ Wins Hanz Gold Medal For Best Sports Bar

The 2009 HANZ Awards for Excellence, held last Thursday in Dunedin, saw the 3 Bald Men-designed ‘Four Kings’ take out the top gong for Best Sports Bar.

The Wellington CBD waterhole beat finalists Fox’s Ale House (Auckland) and Shed 2 on the Quay (Napier) in the competition for first place. Having only opened its doors in February of this year, the Baldies are thrilled with the outcome.

“We are delighted with this achievement, but can also say that we believe the award is well-deserved.” says Steve Small, 3 Bald Men Director.

“Four Kings is a sports fan’s haven. Boasting over 70 Plasma and LCD screens, leather Lazy boy armchairs and numerous private booths that all have a view of the tele, the venue was specifically designed with the sports-mad punter in mind”.

Utilising a unique mix of polished concrete, stainless steel and natural timbers, the two-story venue offers a pub menu that can be eaten with a casual drink at the bar, or a full sit-down menu in the Four Kings Grill.

“We believe Four Kings has a unique ambience that makes it the perfect destination to enjoy good sport – whether it’s a mid-week horse race or a national game of rugby on a Saturday night” says Small.

“We congratulate the staff and Management at Four Kings, as this award is also a product of the impeccable customer service and management at the venue. Everybody involved should be very proud”.

Four Kings is located on Dixon Street, Wellington and is open 7 days per week. For bookings and events, visit their website www.fourkings.co.nz
