New look for Motor Vehicle Traders Register
MEDIA RELEASE
New look for Motor Vehicle Traders Register
17 December 2008
The Ministry of Economic Development launched a new look website this week for the Motor Vehicle Traders Register (MVTR).
The MVTR contains essential information about registered motor vehicle traders - such as trading names, company names, office addresses and individuals’ names.
“The Motor Vehicle Traders Register provides a useful public service”, says Michael Brosnahan, Companies Office Registries Manager. “Anyone can search the register to find out if a motor vehicle trader is registered and is legally able to trade, before they agree to deal with them.”
The revised site also boasts a variety of new features including information relevant to both the motor vehicle trading industry and consumers, improved website search capabilities, a wider range of customer support services, and enhanced navigation and site layout.
The website address remains the same – www.motortraders.govt.nz – as do the user-friendly online services such as searching, registration and renewals.
The Ministry of Economic Development offers free training sessions for all those wishing to familiarise themselves with the new site. Request a training session by visiting the ‘Training Hub’ in the ‘Customer Support’ tab at www.motortraders.govt.nz.
