Subject: Response to Media Broadcasts – Northpower employee found dead
Colleagues found a Northpower employee at Whangarei depot dead this morning near his vehicle. It is believed he passed away last night from what appears to be natural causes.
Northpower, Whangarei police and the Department of Labour are carrying out their investigations.
He was 60 years of age and had been working for Northpower for nearly three and a half years as a Utility Worker. Northpower is a very close family and is very upset at loosing a colleague and a friend. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and work colleagues at this difficult time.
No further information will be available until his next of kin have been notified and investigations have been completed.
