New Zealand Contractors’ Federation appoints new Chief Executive
Jeremy Sole has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Contractors’ Federation.
Mr Sole, who previously headed organisational development and was part of the new venture research team at the Stevenson Group, will take over from Richard Michael who is leaving after five and a half years to become CEO of mining industry advocacy organisation Straterra.
Contractors’ Federation President David Jewell said Mr Sole had wide ranging industry experience together with extensive marketing, management and leadership skills.
“Richard has done a tremendous job for five and a half years,” said Mr Jewell. “We are delighted that Jeremy is joining us and his business and political skills will be an asset to the membership of the federation in these difficult times.”
Mr Sole has a business degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Auckland and extensive experience in business consultancy.
He said: “I am very much looking forward to working with the federation’s members to support them in consolidating and strengthening their businesses during and beyond this difficult economic period.
“The industry’s ability to facilitate the development of essential infrastructure is critical to the economic future of New Zealand. I will be working to ensure we have a strong relationship with government and can be in a position to make a contribution to development of policy.”
