Eventfinder and Fairfax Media: Now more ways to find more things to do
March 5, 2009
Eventfinder, New Zealand’s largest and most comprehensive online events publisher, is now providing complete events calendars to Fairfax Media’s Stuff.co.nz and its affiliated regional sites.
“We are very pleased to be part of the launch of Fairfax Media’s newly redesigned sites,” says Michael Turner, Eventfinder CEO. “Now there will be even more ways for more people to find more things to do with their time.”
As the dominant distributor of event information in New Zealand, the establishment of a content syndication relationship with Fairfax Media’s publications means that Eventfinder is now providing quality event information to all of New Zealand’s major media sites.
Eventfinder, founded in January 2006, publishes a deep and diverse range of event information, from big concerts and festivals to regional and local events. “No event is too big or too small for Eventfinder” says Mr. Turner. “We love them all!” Eventfinder worked with Fairfax for months during the course of the project to make sure that the new site launch included a fully integrated events channel, including regional guides specific to the unique brands in Fairfax’s portfolio.
Event promoters, publicists, bands, councils and venues can list their events free on Eventfinder and receive massive national distribution, while the public can browse at no charge.
Eventfinder publishes through its own site, www.eventfinder.co.nz, and provides event information to Fairfax, Yahoo!Xtra, MSN, NZ Herald, AA and dozens of other media and lifestyle sites across New Zealand.
