ArcSight Continues Expansion in Asia Pacific Appointing Security Industry Expert as Senior Regional Sales Manager Sydney March 26, 2009 ArcSight Inc. (NASDAQ: ARST), a leading global provider of compliance and security management solutions, today announced the expansion of its market footprint in the Asia Pacific region with the appointment of Joel Camissar as Senior Regional Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Camissar has more than 13 years of experience in the IT industry and will be responsible for the development of the company¹s Australia and New Zealand markets and consulting to enterprise organisations in Information and Event Management Software.
Prior to ArcSight, Camissar was
Country Manager Australia and New Zealand at Websense.
During his two years with that organisation he was
responsible for the regional management of Websense¹s
business in Australia and New Zealand. He previously worked
for Trend Micro as Enterprise Sales Manager and Northern
Region Account Manager. Designed for the needs of highly
complex, geographically dispersed and heterogeneous business
and technology infrastructures, ArcSight provides a
vendor-neutral solution for intelligent identification,
prioritisation and network response to external security
attacks, insider threats and compliance breaches. The
near-term focus for the company in both Australia and New
Zealand will be the establishment of a customer base,
support infrastructure, engagement of key channel partners
and the recruitment of key sales and technical personnel.
The company is also announcing the appointment of Gabriel
Gennai as Senior Sales Engineer. Gennai has 20 years¹
experience in IT and communications and was formerly Senior
Technology Consultant with RSA Australia.
He also worked for more than 10 years at Attachmate Australia in a variety of engineering roles and was previously a Systems Programs and Communications Specialist at National Mutual (AXA) for seven years. ³We believe that the ArcSight family of compliance and security solutions deliver a compelling value proposition even in difficult economic conditions."
