ACP Media to Rev Up Top Gear New Zealand

Media Release Thursday 2nd April, 2009

ACP Media to Rev Up Top Gear New Zealand

ACP Magazines New Zealand proudly announces the arrival of top rating men’s motoring and lifestyle magazine Top Gear New Zealand into its extensive suite of titles.

BBC Magazines recently appointed ACP Magazines as the new publisher of Top Gear New Zealand, the official magazine of the hit TV show. The first issue published by ACP will be May 2009, on sale Monday 27 April, 2009.

From the June issue (on sale Monday 1 June, 2009) Top Gear New Zealand will be a substantially larger magazine, delivering more fantastic Top Gear content than ever before. “With over 100 pages extra in the magazine Top Gear New Zealand will be the biggest offering in the motoring and mens lifestyle category. We’re giving the Kiwi Top Gear faithful double the value and will continue to bring readers the coolest cars and stories from the coolest places on the planet.” says Cameron Officer, Editor of Top Gear New Zealand.

Paul Dykzeul, CEO of ACP Media New Zealand, is excited about the opportunity to publish Top Gear New Zealand.

“ACP Magazines in Australia, through its joint venture with BBC Magazines, has enjoyed great success in publishing Top Gear magazine where it has gone from zero to 85,000 sales since its launch in June last year, making it not just the biggest motoring title but the biggest men’s lifestyle title in Australia. We hope to see similar results in the New Zealand market” he says.

Top Gear New Zealand remains the biggest selling mens lifestyle magazine in New Zealand with an audited circulation of 9,601 per issue and a readership of 158,000.
