Treat your mum to lunch at the Duxton

Treat your mum to lunch at the Duxton, and she could be spending a luxurious night at the Wellington hotel.

All mums who book in for the Duxton Wellington’s Mother’s Day lunch on May 10 go in the draw to win a Duxton Affair - an indulgent night for two at the hotel.

The special Mother’s Day buffet menu is on offer on Sunday May 10 for mums and their families.

It includes such delicious delights as fresh Pandoro breads, Teriyaki salmon fillet with wasabi mayo and pickled ginger, slow roasted leg of Horowhenua lamb with a herbed bread stuffing, mint jelly and rosemary gravy, roasted eggplant , vine tomato and spinach lasagne and a Duxton selection of sweet treats. All mums get some freshly- made Duxton Rocky Road to take away.

“This is a really varied menu, and is one of our most popular,” says executive chef Mita Warbrick. “It offers a selection of the best cuisine the Duxton has to offer, and it’s a perfect treat for Mum.”

Mums who book in for the lunch go in to win a Duxton Affair package, valued at over $200. The package includes a Deluxe Room for up to two guests, bubbly, full breakfast and a late checkout.

If lunch doesn’t suit, or your mum’s an early bird, you could treat her to breakfast (6.30-10.30am), or if dinner’s a better option, bring her along for a special Mother’s Day dinner at the Grill restaurant.

Mother’s Day special at the Duxton 11.30-3pm, Sunday 10 May. Adults $39.50 and children $20. Bookings essential, telephone: (04) 471 5711
