Bank Support For Business – Could Be A Lot Better
In a Chamber survey taken over 24 hours:
• 494 businesses responded
• 394
businesses indicated there was a lack of support for
businesses from banks
• 265 have overdraft facilities
secured by property
• Of these 265, 202 paying in
excess of 10%.
Chamber CEO Michael Barnett
suggested that given the security SME’s were providing
banks, rates suggested by respondents to the survey were
unhelpful in the present challenging economic
climate.
