Air NZ lockout starts
Air New Zealand’s lockout of 240 flight attendants at subsidiary Zeal 320 Ltd will begin at 0001 tomorrow morning.
The lockout follows notification of four days of strike action by 240 EPMU members at Zeal and will affect Trans-Tasman and Pacific flights serviced by Air New Zealand’s Airbus A320 fleet.
Zeal crew and supporters will begin a series of protests in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from tomorrow.
A schedule of tomorrow’s protest action follows:
Auckland
Thursday, May
7:
0700 – 1000 at Victoria Park Market, opposite Air NZ
Head Office, 185 Fanshawe Street.
1200 – 1500 at
Auckland International Airport, main drop off
area.
Wellington
Thursday, May 7:
1100 –
1300 protest outside Air NZ Holidays shop, corner Grey
Street and Lambton Quay.
Christchurch
Thursday,
May 7:
1100 – 1200 at Air NZ Holidays shop. South City
Mall, 549 Colombo Street.
