Inspirational Innovators.
After an inspiring introduction into the exclusive Middle Eastern market 12 months ago, NZ Innovative Foods has had another milestone.
A second shipment of NZ Innovative Foods
gourmet range has been successfully delivered into the
Middle Eastern market and, Creative Director Justine Orme
has been appointed the New Zealand agent for
Al Shaya to
source quality gourmet New Zealand made products for the
exclusive Dean and Deluca department stores.
“After a rigorous testing by our judging panel in New Zealand, two boxes of gourmet products have been delivered and the appeal is growing. They were so enthralled by the quality of our products that the word is spreading about our small corner of the world” say Justine.
“We have sent two boxes of sourced quality NZ made gourmet products but because of changes in personnel in Kuwait, the box ended up at our Al Shaya agents’ home”.
Family connections and a dinner invitation enabled one of the gourmet products, a box of 180 degree crackers, to be sampled by the Amir (monarch) of Kuwait and his family who have consequently requested importing to commence.
180 degrees, is a premium biscuit manufacturer specialising in a range of contemporary sweet and savoury biscuits. Their focus is always on quality and flavour and only selected premium fruit, nuts, cheese, butter, spices and chocolate are used for their freshness and taste. The range is unique in its variety.
“When Justine rang me and told me the good news I was pleasantly surprised, it is funny how connections are made. It would be wonderful to have a reason to travel to the Middle East and establish an export market in this region, says Jill.
Frank Lawton, Jill Seton and Nigel Cranston are three people who are passionate about food and their creations at 180 degrees. Their buy line “Necessity Not Indulgence” says it all!
Delegats from the Middle East planning on visiting New Zealand later this year and has requested a meeting with the creators of all the gourmet innovations.
