Partnership Puts BOP Jobs Online

A leading jobs website - www.cvb.co.nz - has joined forces with a Tauranga website www.bestoftauranga.com to put local jobs online and help Bay of Plenty people find work.

CVB.co.nz says its a well-timed strategic partnership as the recession rolls on, with the potential for some very positive outcomes.

Matt Walker for CVB.co.nz says Tauranga is a sought-after destination for both migrants and people moving from Auckland, and other parts of the country. The Western Bay has its big employers, "but the job scene in general hasn't necessarily kept pace with this growth."

“One thing is for sure, to help sustain this growth, there's now a greater demand for skilled employees in a variety of roles,” he says.

CVB.co.nz is a web-based career services tool that provides job seekers with access to thousands of employment opportunities. And we can generally guarantee to have 60-plus Bay of Plenty jobs listed at any given time, says Matt Walker.

By joining with bestoftauranga.com - an independent 'insider's guide' to Tauranga and the Western Bay - we see the opportunity to put job listings from a range of industries in front of a growing number of Bay of Plenty people - with just a few mouse clicks.

Editor of bestoftauranga.com (BoTCom) Grant Dyson says a recent poll taken on the website, asking people what new pages they'd like to see, showed a clear majority wanting job-related information. By working with CVB.co.nz, we are able to answer some of those information needs, he says. "And we're very pleased to work with such an innovative company that's a leader in its field."

For background, CVB.co.nz is different to other recruitment websites in its use of innovative live video technology.

CVB.co.nz's Scott Jackson says: “The technology allows for greater interaction between job seekers and employers. It maximises the opportunity for employers to find that perfect match sooner, easier and more cost effectively. We believe personal style is as important to employers as qualifications, and our video-based products make it possible for personality to be understood earlier in the recruitment process - bringing together the candidate and recruiter very early in the process.
