Jucy announces further expansion into Australia

Australasia’s fastest growing rental vehicle firm Jucy announces further expansion into Australia

Australasia’s fastest car and camper rental operator Jucy today announced expansion of its business across the Tasman as competitors slash prices, downsize or put a halt to new projects.

Jucy Rentals today confirmed they had begun adding 100 new Jucy vehicles in their existing Australian fleet and had introduced their new generation four sleeper Choppa campervan to Australia, to suit families and groups of four.

The 100 new vehicles, 80 of which will be Choppa campervans, will bring Jucy’s investment in Australia to $7.5 million to date, with a total fleet of 320 vehicles. In New Zealand, Jucy has 1400 cars and 450 campers.

To grow in 2009-10, we need to keep working harder and keep developing our fleet, to make sure we can deliver to more customers when the economy picks up,” Jucy Rentals chief executive Tim Alpe said today.

“No one else has ever introduced 300 campervans within their first 18 months of business. We are confident in this investment because with know that Jucy and our vehicles will be well received,” says Tim.

The new campervans feature four seats, two double beds, a DVD and MP3 player, water tank, fridge, electric cooling fan, double gas cooker and a safe to store passports and valuables. They expand vertically to sleep two people in the top section of the van which also features its own DVD player.

Jucy Rentals was founded by Tim and Dan Alpe and they have grown from 35 cars to a fleet of over 2000 vehicles. They are located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Cairns, Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.
