Competition for women in business
Around 70 women attended the third women in business network evening on Tuesday 3rd November at the Lindale Conference Centre. The purpose of the network is to provide an opportunity to meet with like-minded women, to tap in to support, knowledge and experience; to provide personal and professional development and an opportunity to profile your business.
There were two business profiles presented on the night – Kristen Hickman of SecondImage and Jude Riddell from the Frock Shop. Both Kristen and Jude talked about the growth of their respective businesses which was followed by speed networking in small groups.
Jane Stevenson, Chair of the Women in Business Network said “she continued to be impressed by the numbers of women the network was attracting which provides a fantastic mandate for 2010 event planning. We welcome all women in business, not just those who are currently business owners as extending your business network is incredibly valuable to any business wishing to develop and grow.”
The Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce and Nature Coast Enterprise are enthusiastic about their continued support of the network.
