New President for NZ Ready Mixed Concrete Assn

New President for New Zealand Ready Mixed Concrete Association

The New Zealand Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NZRMCA) has appointed Jon Hambling as President.

Hambling, who has been involved with the NZRMCA at regional and council level for nearly 10 years, will be responsible for leading the organisation that represents the interests of ready mixed concrete producers in New Zealand.

“I am firmly committed to advancing the New Zealand ready mixed concrete industry through an ongoing programme of promotion and development,” said Hambling.

“The importance of the NZRMCA in matters of quality control, training and standards development cannot be overstated, and I consider it a privilege to head the organisation in its endeavours.”

Outgoing President Graham Payne said the NZRMCA is delighted with the appointment.

“The NZRMCA is extremely pleased that Jon will lead the organisation into the future,” said Payne.

“He has tremendous knowledge and appreciation of the technical and operating challenges and opportunities that face our industry, as well as great experience in industry representation.”

Hambling has worked for Fletcher Concrete/Firth Industries for 18 years in various positions, including South Island Chief Operating Officer, and is currently National Technical/Materials Engineer. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canterbury.

Hambling takes up his new role with the NZRMCA today.
