Dell’s Mike Hill elected to NZ ICT board

AUCKLAND, February 4, 2010:
New Zealand Information and Communications Technology Group (NZICT) today announced that Mike Hill, Dell’s New Zealand country manager, has been elected to its board.

Hill has led Dell’s New Zealand operation since August 2009, heading up a team focused on providing the full range of Dell’s solutions and services to businesses across the country.

He has extensive experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Dell, he worked as executive strategist with Virtuoso Group, providing support to SMBs that required specific expertise to achieve strategic growth. He also worked as HP’s Enterprise Sales director in New Zealand, and in overseas and New Zealand-based Enterprise roles with Compaq. He began his IT career more than 20 years ago at IBM New Zealand.

As a member of the ICT board, Hill will aim to promote issues such as ICT in schools and ICT’s role in protecting the environment. Dell’s leadership in these areas will provide valuable examples of how ICT solutions will add to New Zealand’s development and competitiveness.
