Woosh’s Bundle of Joy Still Tops for Best Value

Woosh’s Bundle of Joy Still Tops for Best Value Broadband

A new bundle of fixed line home phone and broadband products will deliver the best per GB price available in both metropolitan and provincial centres throughout New Zealand according to broadband company Woosh. And that is despite the Commerce Commission ruling that forced the removal of its loyalty deal with Telecom Wholesale.

Woosh General Manager of Sales and Service, Richard Fry says the company was forced to look at new pricing options for its popular ‘Bundle of Joy’ products and has worked hard to ensure its offering remained the best value on the market. “When we introduced ‘Bundle of Joy’ in May last year, we did so with a commitment to bring all New Zealanders the best value fixed line home phone and broadband prices,” says Mr Fry. “Despite the Commission’s ruling, it remained fundamental to us to continue to offer the best possible value for money to our customers and we are delighted that we have been able to do so.”

Mr Fry says one of the ways Woosh has been able to maintain its best value position is by introducing new data cap limits – 3GB, 7GB, 30GB and 45GB. “We believe the new packages will be extremely popular because of their per GB ‘best in market’ pricing, full speed and because they closely correlate to the average data usage of our existing ‘Bundle of Joy’ customers.”

Woosh has had to change its market leading non-geographic pricing structure which had brought major metropolitan price plans to the regions. However Mr Fry says the new differentiated pricing will continue to offer provincial New Zealand the best per GB price on the market.

The company has also been able to maintain its community fundraising initiative, ‘Share the Joy’ which has already proved popular with sports clubs and schools. “We are delighted we are still able to offer this hassle free way for them to raise some extra cash to put towards running their organisation, or any special projects they might have coming up,” says Mr Fry. “Schools and clubs do not need to be a Woosh customer themselves. They simply need to sign up their members or parents to a Woosh ‘Bundle of Joy’ landline and broadband package and, for each signing, Woosh will give $20 back to the school or club.”

The revised Woosh ‘Bundle of Joy’ fixed line home phone and broadband offer, available from Wednesday, will have four highly competitive bundled plans, no activation fee and customers can take up the offer through the easy to use, self-service website www.bundleofjoy.co.nz or on 0800 4WOOSH. Schools and community groups can sign up for the ‘Share the Joy’ scheme at www.sharethejoy.co.nz.

Customers who have signed up to the original ‘Bundle of Joy’ offer will be unaffected by the changes under the revised pricing plans for the duration of their current contract.

“Woosh is committed to introducing our new leading edge wireless network however the success of ‘Bundle of Joy’ to date has already demonstrated market demand for a competitively priced fixed line product for those customers not currently in wireless coverage,” says Mr Fry.
