On the crest of a new era
On the crest of a new era
REINZ members have come out strong in support of a new constitution.
As a collective, members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of lasting and meaningful change. And they have done so in greater numbers than ever before.
Members have voted to fundamentally change the way REINZ is governed and in doing so have brought their organisation into line with best practice governance standards.
The key change this vote heralds is openness, transparency and impartiality. This has been achieved through the establishment of places for independent Board Directors plus the requirement for the appointment of an independent chairperson.
National President, Peter McDonald, is extremely encouraged by the voting turnout which signals a high level of interest and support for the direction the new organisation will be taking as we transition to a voluntary membership based organisation.
