The Edge Has More Listeners Than Any Other!
The Edge Has More Listeners Than Any Other NZ Radio Station!*
The Edge has the most listeners in New Zealand commercial radio. The results from the latest Research International audience survey were released earlier today and showed The Edge is out on top with 437,800 people tuning in every week, well ahead of nearest competitor ZM by over 30,000 listeners.*
“This fantastic result is testament to a great team who work really hard to deliver great radio to their listeners,” says Leon Wratt, Programme Director for The Edge.
Famous for its controversial radio stunts, like ‘Two Strangers and a Wedding’ and last year’s ‘Nudie Nuptials,’ The Edge is all about creating entertaining radio for its listeners.
Jay-Jay Feeney from The Edge Breakfast show says, “Everyone at The Edge works so hard to give our listeners the best entertainment every day. It's such a buzz to see they actually appreciate it. It totally makes getting up at 4am every morning worth it!”
The Edge plays hit music from artists like Lady Gaga, who called The Edge last month when she was in the country for two sell-out shows to let them know she was listening to her “favourite radio station” as soon as she arrived in Auckland.
