Graham Seatter, a former school
teacher who became a leading New Zealand corporate affairs
manager and was most recently the boss of New Zealand
Soccer, has been appointed chief executive for the Sir
Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre
Mr Seatter will be based in Auckland and replaces Dr Grant Davidson, who resigned earlier this year to become chief executive of Skills Active - the outdoor education industry’s ITO.
The appointment will enable Mr Seatter to bring together his background in education and corporate communications. He was a secondary school teacher for 14 years and then made the shift to the corporate world where he headed corporate communications at Lion Nathan.
In 2005 he was appointed chief executive for New Zealand Soccer and established a five-year strategic plan that had the All Whites making the World Cup in South Africa as a key objective.
